강석태 작가는 생텍쥐페리의 소설 어린 왕자에서 영감을 받아 아이의 순수한 마음을 닮고 싶은 존재인 ‘별소년’을 모티브로 작업을 해오고 있다. 어린 시절 동경의 대상이었던 어린 왕자는 위로를 주는 친구이자, 살아오며 마주했던 어두운 터널에서 작가를 버티게 해 준 빛이 되었다. 어린 왕자가 만나는 풍경과 이야기를 통해 감성을 찾아가는 작업을 하며, 어린이들과 다양한 미술 프로젝트 작업도 병행하고 있다. 작품활동으로 20회의 개인전과 200여 회의 기획전에 참가하였으며, 기업과의 다양한 아트콜라보레이션 등에도 참여하였다.
Inspired by Saint-Exupery’s novel The Little Prince, Kang Seok-tae has been working on the motif of “STAR-Boy,” a being who wants to resemble a child’s pure heart. The little prince, who was the object of childhood admiration, was a comforting friend and a light that kept the writer alive in the dark tunnel he faced. He works to find emotions through the scenery and stories where the little prince meets, and works on various art projects with children. As a work activity, he participated in 20 solo exhibitions and 200 special exhibitions, and also participated in various art collaborations with companies.
