다원은 만화와 일러스트레이션의 장르 문법을 탐구하며, 우연히 마주친 인지 부조화의 경험과 기억을 회화와 설치 작업으로 확장한다. 외부 환경에 예민하게 반응하며, 변질되기 쉬운 재료로 밀도 있는 그리기를 수행함으로써 ‘지금-여기’와 ‘살아 있음’의 감각을 환기하는 데 집중한다.
DAWON explores the genre grammar of comics and illustration, expanding experiences and memories of cognitive dissonance encountered by chance into paintings and installations. Responding sensitively to the external environment, she focuses on evoking a sense of ‘here and now’ and ‘aliveness’ through dense drawing using materials prone to deterioration.
